ACADEMIC PROBATION

At a previous Confirmation of Results Committee (CoRC) meeting, you were placed under academic probation in terms of our Progression Policy, which states:

Students who fail to pass half (50%) of the modules in which they have enrolled in any semester will be placed on academic probation for the following semester. Students on academic probation must pass at least 75% of their modules. Failure to do so may result in the student being asked to (1) leave Cornerstone immediately; (2) change to a part time status; and/or (3) leave Cornerstone after the completion of the current year of study.

At the last CoRC meeting, the committee noted with concern that you passed less than 50% of your modules. You are therefore placed on academic probation for the next semester.

To meet the requirements of academic probation and to avoid dismissal, your academic performance will have to improve dramatically in the next semester. Please engage with Student Development and Support (academicsupport@cornerstone.ac.za) and complete a probation plan within the next five business days. If you want to reduce your academic load (number of modules per semester), please contact the Registrar’s Office via our Helpdesk (helpdesk@cornerstone.ac.za). For any fee queries, please contact the bursar, Merlyn Manuel, at bursar@cornerstone.ac.za.

With best wishes for your academic journey
